THE 19th of March 2014 will remain a nightmare in Oleh, the headquarters of Isoko south local government area of Delta State as a policeman, Corporal Azubuike shot dead one Mr. Obiebi Ogaga on self defence when the deceased attempted to chop off the head of Corporal Azubuike.
The Late Mr. Obiebi Ogaga is known to be a road side petrol seller in jerry cans, otherwise known as (black market).
Sources said, that trouble started when the younger brother of the deceased was hired by someone to clear his farm and refused to pay him after the completion of the job. The boy who was furious and angry started chasing everybody with a cutlass including the owner of the farm and in the process, the boy was arrested by the police and was released after it was discovered by the police that the boy was insane.
After the release of the insane boy, another trouble erupted again, this time, it was between the elder brother of the insane boy and the police, after the police discovered that their Hilux-truck side mirror was broken by the insane boy and insisted that the late Ogaga must follow them to the station since he is the elder brother to the insane boy. However, the late Ogaga insisted not following them since he did not commit any crime and attempt by the police to force him, his products including engine oil was packed into the police Hilux truck and this infuriated him , and brought out a cutlass and in the process of attempting to cut off the police head, the helmet on the police head prevented the cutlass from entry and proceeded to cut the policeman on the shoulder, and the policeman has no other option than to shoot at the man on self defence and eventually, the man died.
Sources also confirmed that the young man, close friends and relatives went to the police station, attempted to burn down the police station, but, it was prevented by the armed policemen who were guarding the station at the time.
